Education
Carey received two Bachelor of Arts degrees from Michigan State University and attended law school at Wayne State University. Carey was active in Wayne State’s moot court program where she was elected to the National Moot Court Team where she served as a coach to junior team members. Carey was also involved in the Small Business and Non-Profit Clinic and the Free Legal Aid Clinic, where she provided legal assistance to low-income residents of Wayne County.

Carey has extensive business experience, gained from working within a publicly traded Real Estate Investment Trust, a private family office, and a Fortune 500 provider of global multimodal transportation services. Carey applies her extensive business experience and legal background to provide your company with workable solutions that are efficient and cost-conscious. Carey has sat on the board of directors for local nonprofit entities and understands the specific challenges faced when applying for and maintaining exemption under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Carey has extensive human resources experience and recently became a Society of Human Resources Management Certified Human Resources Professional.
Carey has appeared in the Michigan Court of Appeals, the Michigan Supreme Court and was admitted pro hac vice into the United States District Court for the District of Nevada to litigate a private securities fraud suit.
